Mission, Completion!

One time, I thought I was really funny so I joined one of those nauseating "We're getting hitched!" groups on Facebook (you know the ones-- where they ask for everyone's addresses) of someone I didn't know and knew wouldn't know me. Then I forgot about it.

Welp. Today I got a wedding invitation in the mail from someone I have never seen in my entire existence.

I should probably feel a little bad about this, but mostly I just think it's hilarious.

(**Note: Because I know I'm probably the only one who watches little kids shows, I thought I should point out the obvious fact that the title of this post comes from Playhouse Disney's "Little Einsteins." Just in case you were wondering. Great show. I highly recommend it for any preschool to kindergarten aged child. Or anyone, really.)

Boys Will Be Girls and Girls Will Be Boys

No explanation needed. Just watch and enjoy.

So true. And so hilarious.

These Girls Are Hilarious.

Seriously. I wish I was as funny as them. And as talented.

...And this is what happens on a boring Monday night when Hilary's husband is out of town. Don't we make such a great team? There will most likely be more where this came from... Dun dun dun!

Double Take

Well... I did it. Finally. I have been saying FOREVER that I wanted to dye my hair red. One of my old friends from junior high and high school is graduating from beauty school in two weeks, so I decided I should go get it done while it was still cheap! Now I'm just bracing myself for when my dad comes home...

Wanna see what it looks like?

Crazy, huh? I just took this with my laptop so it's not very good quality, but it's definitely red! I'll get a real picture up eventually. (Maybe...) For now, I'm looking forward to the thousands of "You dyed your hair!" etc. comments that will shortly be coming my way. (Seriously. Why do so many people have to state the obvious?)

Peace.

This is For My Sister...

...Because we both have a weird obsession with duck jokes. And because I don't want to do my homework. Boo finals!

Obnoxious? Yeah. I know.

Blogs of Note

Need another blog to blogstalk? Check out two of my favorites:

www.cakewrecks.blogspot.com
Cake Wrecks: When Professional Cakes Go Horribly, Hilariously Wrong

Her description: "A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places."

This blog contains daily photos of cake wreckage from bakeries all over the country. Every Sunday she posts "Sunday Sweets" which are the exact opposite of cake wrecks. These weekly posts spotlight beautiful, creative, and extremely impressive cake designs. Check it out! Who doesn't love cake??

Next up: www.myregisblog.com (Yes, that does say regis.)
My Religious Blog: The Substandard Works of a Utah Mormon

If you enjoy puns and laughing about the funny things Utah Mormons do, then you'll love this blog. Example: "If you have always wanted programming that would seamlessly combine the faith and sacrifice of the early saints as they crossed the plains with the fast paced action of martial arts and Western justice, then you’re gonna love the new TV show I am developing for KBYU called Pioneer Children Sang As They Walker Texas Ranger."
He doesn't post very often, but the blog is worth reading through if you need a good laugh.

Enjoy!

IDK, My BFF Brooklin?

I love Brooklin (my roommate). She really has become my best friend. Really though. It's not a rare occasion when we accidentally stay up way later than is healthy having amazing, deep conversations. She's wonderful.

This basically describes our relationship:

Told you I loved her.

"Well, Perhaps!"

This is the best cartoon love song ever written. I'm quite fond of it. One day when I'm famous, I'm going to re-recored this song and it'll be a huge hit.

A Lovely Little Lymmeric

So, I realize that there are a lot of things that I could (and probably should) blog about instead, but today I wrote a poem on the fridge. So I thought I would share. Keep in mind that this was written using the magnetic poetry set--dozens of little magnets with different words on them--so word choice was limited. And I wrote it while standing in the kitchen while my mom was making dinner. So... not a lot of thought went into it. This is how it went:

Fiddle for me
A sad drunken dream
Of visions too sweet to come true.
Then sing me to sleep
With music so deep
As I whisper of my love for you.

Hahaha... I love magnetic poetry.

Stalker

I love my roommate. This is a wonderful song that she introduced me to. It's called "Stalker" by Goldfinger. Read the lyrics and listen to the song. It's wonderful. Probably because I love stalking people. It kind of defines my life.

She calls me on the phone
Hoping that I’m home
(And that I’m all alone)
But when I say hello
I only hear dial tones
(She thinks that I’m her own)
Outside my window she crept
Watching my every step
ooh ooh ooh
She’s following me
ooh ooh ooh
She’s out of her tree
ooh ooh ooh
She’s off of her rocker
I wanna marry my stalker
Sometimes she says she’s my mom
Looks like she doesn’t belong
(She’s my own peeping tom)
Flowers everyday
The cops they tell her to stay
500 feet away
She sleeps on my door step
She hasn’t heard me yet
ooh ooh ooh
She’s following me
ooh ooh ooh
She’s out of her tree
ooh ooh ooh
She’s off of her rocker
I wanna marry my
I wanna marry my
I wanna marry my stalker
This morning she wasn’t there
I hope she still cares
I almost gave up hope
but today I awoke
To a private note
She said she’s going to jail
For going through my mail
But she'll stay on my trail
ooh ooh ooh
She’s following me
ooh ooh ooh
She’s out of her tree
ooh ooh ooh
She’s off of her rocker
I wanna marry my stalker
